GM Farewell Dinner

Karaoke Session

Makan Makan Session

Parting gift to the GM

Yours Truly Saying A few Words

A farewell dinner was held to bid goodbye to our GM who has opted to end his contract and pursue his career at a much greener pasture at Ibai Golf and Country Club aka Tuanku Mizan Golf Club last nite(23rd December 2008). We had our dinner session at a private room enjoying a nine course chinese set dinner. All the Department heads of the resort was present in the informal dinner that nite.

Among the items savoured during the dinner was a 4 seasons hot and cold dish which serves spring rolls, calamari, prawns and mussels.

Second course was Sharkfin soup with crabmeat. It was just perfect and no need to add vinegar as sometimes you have to at some Restaurants.

Then come the Butter prawns which was nice also. And scallops in noodle basket. Now. this item i savoured with gusto also as it's damn expensive and not often you would find it served. We also had Free Range Kampung Chicken served in herbal soup which was marvellous. We also had Sweet and Sour Garoupa. For vege we had Siew pak Choy with Black Mushrooms in Oyster sauce. Second last was seafood fried rice and lastly followed by fruit cocktail for dessert.

After the dinner we had a karaoke session. The dinner lasted until midnight when we broke off and made our way back to the jungle again. All in all, it was a nice and enjoyable dinner and luckily they could not persuade me to sing or else it would be raining all the way back.

Lunch Today

Guess who i had lunch with today. Well, no other than the famous host of Jalan Jalan Cari Makan, Maria Tg. Sabri of course. She's here at the resort shooting for the ZOOM programme for Tourism Malaysia.

A very nice lady who is very approachable, it's very easy to entertain her unlike some others who are quite difficult. She's very nice in person and that makes my job a whole lot easier and the whole production crew was also very cooperative. Well, half of the day today was sppent with them shooting around the resort and i only managed to sit down at the office after lunch. It was worth all the effort though.

Gua Bewah

This is when i visited Gua Bewah in 2006. Gua Bewah is located in Taman Negara at the Terengganu side and are only accesible by boat. It is about 1 hours speed boat ride from Pengkalan Gawi.

Among the attractions in Gua Bewah are:-

Pre Historic People Excavation Site

The cave used to be home to humans more than 2000 yeras ago. Once you entered the cave, you can see a display area of the excavation and the history of the cave. There is an exhibition of some of the items found there.

Cave Racers

This is a species of snake which lived in caves. The snake feed on bats and they climb cave walls and catch bats flying near them. It is pure white and very rare. It is listed as an endangered species.

Luminous cockroach

There is a species of cockroach which emits a blue colored light at their tail when in the dark. It's not everytime that you can see this cockroach and it's very hard to find them.

Tiada Lagi

Sia² sudah
Kita jalin cinta
Bila hati selalu berbeda

Sampai kapan lagi
Aku harus menahan
Rasa kecewa di dalam dada

Seandainya kita masih bersatu
Tak mungkinkan menyatu
Walau masih ada sisa cinta
Biarkan saja berakhir sampai
Di sini

Tiada lagi yang ku harapkan
Tiada lagi yang ku impikan
Biar aku sendiri tanpa diri mu
Tiada lagi kata cintamu
Takkan lagi ku bersama mu
Biar ku simpan semua
Kenangan ku bersamamu

Rape Me

Rape Me, My Friend
Rape me again
I'm Not the only one
Hate me
Do it and do it again
Waste me
Taste me, my friend
My Favorite inside source
I'll kiss your open sores
Appreciate your concern
You'll always stink and burn

Widuri

Widuri

By Broery Marantika

Di suatu senja
Di musim yang lalu
Ketika itu hujan rintik
Terpukau aku
Menatap wajahmu
Di remang cahaya sinar pelangi
Lalu engkau tersenyum
Ku menyesali diri
Tak tahu apakah erti senyummu

Dengan mengusap titik airmata
Engkau bisikkan deritamu
Tersentuh hati dalam keharuan
Setelah tahu apa yang terjadi
Sekian lamanya engkau
Hidup seorang diri
Ku ingin membalut luka hatimu

( korus )
Widuri
Elok bagai rembulan... oh sayang
Widuri
Indah bagai lukisan
Widuri
Bukalah pintu hati untukku
Widuri
Ku akan menyayangi
(Widuri oh widuri)
(Ku selalu menyayangi)

The Ox

The Ox (  ) is one of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar. The Year of the Ox is denoted by the earthly branch character . In the Vietnamese zodiac, the water buffalo (zodiac) occupies the position of the ox.

People born within these date ranges can be said to have been born in the "year of the Ox," while also bearing the following elemental sign:

The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. This powerful sign is a born leader, being quite dependable and possessing an innate ability to achieve great things. As one might guess, such people are dependable, calm, and modest. Like their animal namesake, the Ox is unswervingly patient, tireless in their work, and capable of enduring any amount of hardship without complaint.

Ox people need peace and quiet to work through their ideas, and when they have set their mind on something it is hard for them to be convinced otherwise. An Ox person has a very logical mind and is extremely systematic in whatever they do, even without imagination. These people speak little but are extremely intelligent. When necessary, they are articulate and eloquent.

People born under the influence of the Ox are kind, caring souls, logical, positive, filled with common sense and with their feet firmly planted on the ground. Security is their main preoccupation in life, and they are prepared to toil long and hard in order to provide a warm, comfortable and stable nest for themselves and their families. Strong-minded, stubborn, individualistic, the majority are highly intelligent individuals who don't take kindly to being told what to do.

The Ox works hard, patiently, and methodically, with original intelligence and reflective thought. These people enjoy helping others. Behind this tenacious, laboring, and self-sacrificing exterior lies an active mind.

The Ox is not extravagant, and the thought of living off credit cards or being in debt makes them nervous. The possibility of taking a serious risk could cause the Ox sleepless nights.

Ox people are truthful and sincere, and the idea of wheeling and dealing in a competitive world is distasteful to them. They are rarely driven by the prospect of financial gain. These people are always welcome because of their honesty and patience. They have many friends, who appreciate the fact that the Ox people are wary of new trends, although every now and then they can be encouraged to try something new.

It is important to remember that the Ox people are sociable and relaxed when they feel secure, but occasionally a dark cloud looms over such people and they engage all the trials of the whole world and seek solutions for them.

Scorpio

Scorpio is the eighth astrological sign in the Zodiac, originating from the constellation of Scorpius. In western astrology, the sign is no longer aligned with the constellation as a result of the precession of the equinoxes. Scorpio is considered a water sign, and is one of four fixed signs.Like the rest of the watery signs, Scorpio is considered a "negative", feminine sign, which in Astrology means it is rather introvert.

Individuals born when the Sun was in this sign are considered Scorpio individuals. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun enters Scorpio aroundOctober 23-24 and exits around November 21-22. Under the sidereal zodiac, it is currently there roughly from November 16 throughDecember 15. People born on these juncture dates would have to have an astrological chart drawn if they wished to determine which sign the sun was in at the exact time of their birth.

Being a water sign, Scorpio is considered highly passionate, imaginative, determined, persevering, inflexible and self-confident.

Traditionally, the planet Mars has been considered to be the ruler of Scorpio, and since its discovery, Pluto has been considered a modern ruler of this sign. Some modern astrologers consider Pluto to be a more appropriate ruler over the sign, citing the reason for Mars having initially ruled the sign being that Pluto had not yet been discovered. In 2006 Pluto was reclassified by astronomers as a "dwarf planet", and though no longer considered a planet in astronomy, this has not reduced its significance to astrologers as the modern ruler of Scorpio.

As the eighth sign in the zodiac, Scorpio is associated with the astrological house number 8, which is associated with natural Scorpio matters - birth, death, transformation, deeply committed relationships of all kinds, and the occult and psychic matters.

Scorpio also has associations with three animal symbols: the scorpion, the snake, and the phoenix. Each sign represents different levels of power related to personal strength, individual power, and even intimidation based on cultural associations with these different animals. All three symbols indicate the fierce determination of the Scorpio symbol to triumph over odds and to be ruthless in pursuing goals, traits that are evident in the personality characteristics attributed to Scorpio individuals.

Astrologers broadly agree that the following are the characteristics of Scorpio:

  • Intense
  • Powerful
  • Determined / tenacious / persevering
  • Emotional / sensitive
  • Calm but seething
  • Reserved / withdrawn
  • Secretive
  • Deep / profound
  • Passionate / sexual
  • Loyal / devotional
  • Ambitious
  • Extreme
  • Willful / fanatical
  • Mysterious / magnetic
  • Deeply resentful / brooding / potentially destructive

Scorpio is the Zodiac sign that indicates the deepest interest in sexual matters, and for most Scorpios, sex is an expression of love.
